Mackie mixer profx8 review.
Mackie is a huge disappointment.
Took it for a test run and it performed fabulously.
I tried different usb cables and on different laptops desktops and this is just a piece of i have a small behringer 2 channels that i took out of the drawer and works flawlessly.
Excellent and durable construction with nice channel options.
I found the mixer very easy to operate and also it was extremely quiet in such a compact package and works well with my electro voice zlx 12p series active speaker cabinet.
The mixer is a mackie profx8 mini usb console equipped with effects it has preamps mackie low noise high headroom as well as 16 effects using the new 32 bit embedded processor rmfx running man fx.
Recently i bought this mixer to replace an alesis multimix8 that had some channels busted within the first couple weeks.
Received the mackie profx8 channel mixer in record time and in perfect shape.
Still trying to figure out the effects button as sometimes the effects were there and sometimes weren t in the mix even though i thought i set it.
The sliders and nobs feel well placed and sturdy.
The mixer itself judging by monitors and headphones is great.

Slices of the mixer mackie profx8 have a 3 band active eq auxiliary outputs for external effects processors as well as 60mm faders.
I just think it s probably operator error.
Profx8 v2 owner here usb keeps being dropped so i just can t record using it.
Overall i m a big fan of mackie mixers and speakers.
