Making Floating Shelves Solid Wood

I always wanted to build my own floating shelves and had seen some similar ideas but they were not quite as solid so took a little time to think about how i could improve on the ideas i had seen and still keep it simple.

This is what i came up with. In the wood supplies you need 1 4 2x2s and 1x6s lumber lengths that you can plan to build both the frame and shelf tops. Next use paint or stain for a lovely dark choco finish. Wood screws through the shelf s pilot holes and into the wall cleat.
